McKinney-Vento Support
Every scholar deserves continuity, stability, and access to school. Herron Classical Schools helps students and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability understand their educational rights and connect with available support.
Could McKinney-Vento apply to my family?
McKinney-Vento protections may apply when a student lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence.
Including emergency or temporary shelter arrangements.
When adequate permanent housing is not available.
Such as a car, park, abandoned building, bus station, or train station.
Sometimes described as being doubled up with another household.
Herron Classical Schools approaches housing-related information with care and discretion while helping students access educational services and support.
Student rights
The McKinney-Vento Act is intended to reduce barriers to enrollment, attendance, transportation, and participation in school.
