Scholars Succeed at Herron and Herron-Riverside High Schools
Herron High School and Herron-Riverside students are among the State's top scholars, according to the most recent SAT results. These scores affirm what many State and National organizations have already discovered: that the Herron Classical Schools network high schools offer the best public college preparatory education in the city, state and country. We are especially proud of the achievements from our students of color as well as our exceptional learners.
Our Herron High School Black scholars had the highest reading/writing college readiness scores, according to their SAT performance, of ALL public schools in Indiana. Only two Indiana private schools scored better. Our Herron-Riverside English Language Learners scored number two statewide in math on the SAT, and our Special Education students at both Herron High School and Herron-Riverside scored in the top three of all Marion County public schools in reading and writing. Herron High School has had a history of academic successes since opening its doors in 2006. Founded in 2017 to alleviate the long waiting lists at Herron High School, Herron-Riverside High School has quickly risen to the top as one of the best college preparatory schools in Indianapolis, and the SAT data proves that our scholars are some of the best in the state.
